Mark Your Calendars for the Ninth Annual McLean Chocolate Festival

January 9, 2020

You’ll feel like a kid in a candy store as you browse through the offerings of more than 15 local chocolate-makers and bakers at the Ninth Annual McLean Chocolate Festival on Jan. 26. By making a stop at the event to pick up a treat, you’ll be supporting local businesses and helping to raise money for charity.

The event gets bigger and better every year. This year, vendors include Fluffy Thoughts Bakery, which will have cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and macaroons, HoneyCakes Desserts, which specializes in cocktail-infused cheesecake, mouse, and tarts, and Mike’s Fudge, which will be offering seasonal and classic flavors of its fudge — just to name a few. You can stock up for your next birthday celebration or Valentine’s Day, or choose to eat your treats right at the Festival.

Children’s activities will also be available, and gift cards from local businesses — including Twin Lakes Golf Course and Wildfire Restaurant — will be available at a reduced rate. Bands will also be performing all day long.

The event raises funds for local and international charities. Last year, the event raised $21,000. Admission is $2 and the event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McLean Community Center.
