Learn to Climb at Earth Treks Crystal City
October 23, 2017Earth Treks in Crystal City is a world-class premier climbing gym with 400 rope routes and boulders, fitness center, dedicated yoga and group fitness room, and private climbing teaching areas. The facility also offers convenient high-end locker rooms and a fully stocked gear shop. If you’re new to climbing, take their Introduction to Climbing course, which teaches safety systems of belaying, basic knot tying, and basic climbing movement. The course costs $39 (bring a friend for free!) and is a great hands-on introduction for those with little to no climbing experience. Other courses include Introduction to Bouldering, Introduction to Sport Lead Climbing, and Peak Performance Training.
Earth Treks offers day passes for $25 along with monthly memberships for individuals and families. Climbing shoes, harness, belay device, and chalk bag rentals are also available for a small fee. Earth Treks offers ample garage parking as well as easy metro access and Bikeshare.
